Please join us for a discussion of E. M. Forster’s classic novel, Maurice.

In 1971, the writer E. M. Forster shocked his readers by releasing a novel after his death that was also his way of coming out to them. Set in the elegant Edwardian world and highly structured society of Cambridge undergraduate life, this story follows Maurice Hall, a conventional young man in almost every way―except that he is gay. Written during 1913 and 1914, Forster's aim for this novel was to create an honest story with happiness as its keynote ― a story where the main character's attraction to another man puzzles him, wakes him up, torments him, and finally saves him.

Registration and book pick-up begins Monday, November 17th. A Zoom option will be available for individuals who would like to attend virtually.
