Program Description

Event Details

Community Storytime is a new story time on the first Thursday of every month, where different local people will get to present a story time, in order to promote different professions, identities, authors, and groups in our community. It's a fun way to show how everyone can be a reader! This story time is open for all youth ages, and registration is not required. Some weeks there may be interactive elements, activities, and more too. Be sure to check for each month's feature at the library to see what to expect. The first thirty minutes will be story time and the last thirty minutes will be open play for kids. If you're interested in being one of our presenters, please contact Chanda, the Outreach Librarian.

July's Community Presenter: Heart for Homes (https://www.heartforhome.info/)

"Heart for Home is committed to connecting Foster, Adopted, and Kinship children with supportive and healing homes for respite care. We strive to recruit, prepare, and support FAK respite homes before, during, and after by being honest, open-minded, and listening to family's needs and concerns in order to connect them with resources to be successful."
