Event Details
September 22nd through the 28th is observed as Banned Books Week throughout the United States.
Per the American Library Association, “the annual event highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community – librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all types – in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas.”
The Comstock Township Library will be celebrating this year with displays of banned books, handing out "Freed Between the Lines" buttons, and creating wanted posters for banned book readers. Stop in to see how you can participate with us!
